| I’ve always had a love for the look and sound of motorcycles. Unfortunately, in the home I grew up in, it was always taboo. During my high school years, I would ride with others, but I never owned my own bike. Every spring I would listen for that exhilarating sound of the loud pipes, attentively watching the road for the riders to pass. I always had this warm feeling in my heart while flashing a smile as they went by.
A couple of seasons ago, my passion was stoked by a co-worker who is an avid rider. He had handed me the phone number of Trauma’s riding school and suggested that I give them a call. I was on the phone in an instant. While inquiring about the classes and times, I was pleased to find out that the next available class was during my next vacation. How perfect it was; I was able to ride and a get chance to get licensed with no missed time from work. It was a match which was meant to be. I took the course and passed the road test. Two days later, I was the proud owner of my 750 Honda Shadow. I love being able to get into the wind, ride, and feel free. I am so happy that I'm able to be fulfilling a life long dream and passion. To everyone who has always wanted to ride and for some reason has put it aside, here’s my push to you…
“Do It”. You won’t be sorry. In addition to being on the road, the “friends” and “family” that you will meet and make are an incredible bonus. Go after your dreams know matter what they are. Always remember: Ride Safe and Ride Frequent.
